MATT BERNARD graduated from theatre school 4 months ago and has been attempting to get acting gigs ever since. He hasn't succeeded yet and some people would argue that it's because of his "innovative" auditioning technique.

"When people ask me what I've accomplished in life, at least I'll be able to say I tried my hardest."

SHAWN STEWART has been Matt's roommate ever since first year university. Shawn studied business and it may have been their differences that allowed Matt and Shawn to get along so well. He currently works in a steady office job and is on track to get a managerial position within a few years.

"Nothing in life is free. You have to work to get what you want. I've done nothing but work all my life and now I'm finally happy."

ROSIE is and has been Shawn's girlfriend since grade 11. She's incredibly supportive of Shawn's professional endeavours. An important part of her support structure is that if Shawn slips up on his road to stability and success, she will slap him right back on track.

"I love people. It's just that some people need to learn a few things before I'm able to love them."

WILSON graduated with a major in Philosophy a few years ago and has been working behind the desk of a shipping store ever since. When Matt isn't sure what to do, he can always count on Wilson to give him some interesting ideas.

"Whenever I think I've finally got life figured out, some nutjob comes in here and makes me have to rethink it all. Kind of makes me glad I work here."

EARNEST is everyone's favourite server at Pogo's Grill. He's friendly and open and always has something supportive to say, even when he shouldn't.

"I don't work for the tips. I work for the smiles of satisfied customers. That and the tips."

LAURA interned at Shawn's office for a couple months and they've been friends ever since. And any friend of Shawn's is a friend of Matt's... and perhaps more?

"Life is all about making choices, and I choose to live with no regrets."

MARCUS took a few acting classes with Matt. Unfortunately, when Marcus ran out of money, he had only learned three things about acting: warming up, method acting, and blocking. And that was good enough for him.

"Everywhere I go I see a bunch of blockers. I'd tell them I ain't gonna play with no blockers, but then I'd be stooping to their level."

JEFF is... um... something else.
